3 Dasies with Cilantro Flowers

There is a flower, a little flower
With silver crest and golden eye,
That welcomes every changing hour,
And weathers every sky.

by James Mongomery

I picked these three daisies this morning to bring some happiness into my unorganized home. They sit on a shelf where I will see them everyday. My cilantro that I planted in the herb garden is flowering and getting ready to go to seed. I thought the lacy little flower and delicate leaves complimented the daisies well.

Bachelor Buttons

Blue Bachelor Buttons in Robin Blue Vase

So my year of being PTO President is over and on this first day of my release I have decided to post. I look forward to my quiet times so that I can craft and be creative in other ways. My first Daises are almost in bloom so they will be in the vase next.

I got a wonderful bouquet of these Bachelor Buttons at my last Conway Locally Grown pickup. Jessica just loved them because they were "Blue, Mom, your favorite color!". They have been delighting me all week. I hope they delight you too.

Withering

We spent the afternoon doing yard work-- clearing away the dried lantana and crepe myrtles reaching too close to the house and phone lines. When it was time for a daylight savings time dinner, I noticed that my daffodil was withering away. I surrounded it with the camellias in full bloom and magnificent color.

I dreamed the other night about the Joel Dewberry Modern Meadow collection and what I might make from some of it. I've been looking at it's colors and designs online every day for a week.

Inside

This is the same daffodil that was seen earlier in the week opening and opened. Tuesday and Wednesday's rain knocked it down, so I cut it and brought it inside. As this week off from work and normal routines begins, I feel open and hopeful for the unscheduled days ahead of me.

My Corner

A new corner
for some new work
with some old berries
in my egg vase.
